A person has died after collapsing at a Kent sports centre.

Paramedics were called to Infinity Fitness in College Square, Margate, at about 2.10pm on Wednesday, before being joined at the site by air ambulance crews.

Despite the efforts of medics, the individual was pronounced dead at scene.

An ambulance service spokesman said: "We attended following reports a person had collapsed.

"Sadly, despite the best efforts of everyone involved, the person died at the scene."
