Two men who kidnapped a drunk woman from a bar with the intention of sexually assaulting her are facing lengthy spells behind bars.
Gaitis Dukovskis and Marek Brokim were caught on camera as they dragged and carried their limp victim away from Clique in Ramsgate's Harbour Parade to a property in nearby Kent Terrace.
To the woman’s horror, when inside the home they then began to unfasten her trousers, Canterbury Crown Court was told.
But despite her fear she might be raped, she bravely managed to push her would-be attackers off, call 999 and flee.
Pleading with police "Please save me", she then hid behind a car until officers, with the help of the operator and the What3Words app, were able to trace her.
Dukovskis and Brokim were arrested at the property. They told police that having tried to help the woman walk as she was intoxicated, they left her alone when she made it clear she did not want their assistance.
Her hysterical 999 call, in which she veered from distress to anger, was played as they faced trial accused of kidnap and kidnap with intent to commit a sexual offence.
On Monday, a jury found them guilty of both offences by majority verdicts of 11 to one.
The pair had denied the charges, with jurors being told their actions in the summer of 2022 had been "misunderstood".
The court heard the woman had been sick in the bar and appeared "out of it" when a doorman went to fetch her a glass of water in an attempt to sober her up.
But by the time he returned, she was being "propped up" and walked by the defendants, heading away from a nearby taxi rank and in the opposite direction of where she needed to go.
CCTV footage from Clique, the Royal Oak Hotel and Palace Amusements showed Brokim escorting her from the bar before Dukovskis was seen carrying her up the road.
Detailing the victim's account of what had happened, prosecutor Ben Wild told the court: "She describes being shoved and dragged to a nearby property on Kent Terrace.
"While there, in the dark and against a wall, the defendants started undoing her trousers. She, at this point, thought that she was going to be raped.
"However, she managed to push the defendants away and ran into the street. She then hid behind a car and called 999."
In her call the woman could be heard sobbing as she told the operator she did not know her whereabouts.
Pleading for help, she said: "Please save me. They dragged me here. Please, as quick as you can."
The woman could also be heard angrily addressing a male voice in the background as she asked: "Who are you? I didn't want to come with you. F*** off! Get away from me please."
The court heard that during her night out, the victim and a friend - neither of who can be named for legal reasons - had exchanged "general chit-chat" with the two men outside Clique.
One of them could not speak English, and they were said to have "stuck out" that evening as they did not have drinks in their hands.
The two women then became separated in the early hours.
When they spoke on the phone later that morning, the victim was described as being "very upset" as she explained what had happened to her.
Asked by Mr Wild whether her state was "normal", the friend told the jury "No. She was hysterically upset. She can be very calm but she was incredibly upset."
After the jury returned their verdicts, Dukovskis, 37, of St Mildred's Road, Ramsgate, and Brokim, 46, of Bramley Close, Ash, near Canterbury, were remanded into custody by Judge Edmund Fowler.
They will be sentenced at the same court on April 4. Kent Police is expected to release custody images of the pair should they receive at least one year in custody.
