Dreamland: Scenic Railway up and running ahead of schedule

Dreamland’s Scenic Railway has re-opened to whizz visitors around ahead of schedule, following a short planned maintenance period.

Specialist rope splicers replaced a section of the rope on one of the ride’s lift hills.

The ride was due to be up and running on Saturday but has re-opened early today.

The star attraction at Kent's vintage theme park had to close on Monday for scheduled maintenance

As it is Grade II listed, specialists had be brought in to carry out repairs and checks on the ride.

The short break brought back memories of months of delays as work was carried out before it reopened in December.

The park is currently hosting the Wall of Death, which will appear at Dreamland until Sunday, August 6.

The world's biggest bouncy castle will also be paying a visit for a fortnight in August.
