Dodgy parking often drives people around the bend - but this car left in the middle of a mini roundabout sparked more mirth than anger.
The green Toyota Yaris was seen on the circular intersection in Harbour Parade, Ramsgate, yesterday.
It was pictured stationary in the centre of the roundabout with traffic still flowing as normal next to the Royal Sands beachfront apartments and the popular Ramsgate Boulevard Family Amusements.
One person commenting on social media said: “At least it’s turned it into a proper roundabout.”
Another argued the rogue parking makes it “easier to see the roundabout”.
And one person claimed: “That’s what’s called a parking spot”.
The car is believed to have left the area shortly after arriving.
Parking on roundabouts is not specifically covered in The Highway Code.
However, Rule 243 acknowledges drivers should not park within 10 metres of junctions - unless it is an authorised parking space - as well as on bends and near school entrances in order to prevent unnecessary obstructions.
