King Ethelbert School under-16 boys' football team reach final of French Cup

A school football team from Thanet have made it to the final of a countywide competition.

The under-16 boys' team from King Ethelbert School in Birchington will play Hurstmere, from Sidcup, at the Gallagher Stadium in Maidstone.

Kick off is at 7.30pm on Friday, January 28.

The team reached the final of the tournament - called the French Cup - after beating the Harvey Grammar School, from Folkestone, 3-2 in December.

The youngsters are currently trying to raise money for a new kit for the game by holding events in school.
