Archie Rixon, 21, charged with attempted murder after man discovered with serious head injuries in Cliftonville near Margate

A 21-year-old has been charged with attempted murder after a reported assault which left a man with serious head injuries.

The victim, aged in his 40s, was found badly injured at a property in Ethelbert Crescent, Cliftonville, Margate, on Sunday morning (March 9).

He was taken to hospital and remains in a serious but stable condition, with four men from the town subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault.

Archie Rixon, 21, has now been charged with attempted murder in relation to the incident.

The Ethelbert Crescent resident is due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates' Court on March 14.

Three other men, aged between 21 and 47, have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
