Teen injured during fight between two groups on Margate seafront

A teenager has been taken to hospital with a facial injury after being assaulted during a seafront fight.

Police were called to Marine Terrace in Margate at 7.35pm last night after a report of two groups of people involved in a disturbance.

A 17-year-old boy was assaulted and suffered an injury to his face. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

An 18-year-old man from London was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault and remains in custody.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the assault to get in touch.
