A woman was arrested and airlifted to a London hospital after a disturbance at a home.

Paramedics also took a man to a local hospital for treatment after the incident in Orion Way, Margate, yesterday afternoon.

An air ambulance landed near Westwood Cross before leaving and travelling towards the capital.

A police spokesman said: “We were called to a report of a disturbance at 1pm yesterday.

“Officers attended a property on Orion Way, Margate, alongside the ambulance service.

“A woman was arrested and taken to a London hospital. She remains in custody.

“A man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.”

Both the man and the woman are in their 30s.

It is understood the woman’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, and the man’s injuries were minor.
