Woman taken to hospital after A299 Monkton Roundabout car crash

Paramedics have taken a woman to hospital after fire crews cut her free from a car.

Emergency services were called to the single-vehicle collision on the A299 Monkton Roundabout in Ramsgate this morning.

Police, paramedics and the fire service were all reportedly at the scene.

A police spokesperson confirmed they were called shortly after 9.30am to the incident.

“Officers attended alongside other emergency services where one woman was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries,” they said.

One lane was closed while the incident was responded to before the road reopened shortly before 11.30am.

A fire service spokesman added: “Four fire engines attended and crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to release one person.

“One person was passed into the care of the ambulance service.”
