The Rams are flying high in Isthmian League South East - up to third after Saturday’s 3-2 win over Faversham - and they have been boosted by the generosity of the Kent FA in their plans to open up their ground free for all.

The county FA have waived the usual 10% they would take from the share of the gate fee for the cup tie while opponents Hythe - who would usually expect a split of the gate receipts - have agreed to a fee being paid by their hosts.

It means fans can enjoy a local cup tie for nothing and there could be some talented young players on display.

Ramsgate forward Josh Ajayi has been on trial with Tottenham recently and a host of other clubs are looking at him. The club have had another Premier League club show interest and could be watching on Tuesday.

Ramsgate manager Matt Longhurst said: “We looked at it, Kent Senior Trophy on a Tuesday night, crowds in general aren’t massive. Because it is a cup game, you have to split the turnstile money but the Kent FA have been great. They have said it is a great incentive and they wouldn’t take the 10%, which is good that they are supporting the incentive but we have paid Hythe, we have come to an agreement so they have got their money and they are not out of pocket, hopefully from our point-of-view we get quite a few neutrals watching.”

Lively forward Bradley Ryan could also feature for the home side, the former Chelsea player was left out at the weekend. He quit Stamford Bridge and has already got fans on their feet watching him since he moved to the Kent side.

“He is technically unbelievable,” Longhurst said.

Will Hoare was another who didn’t get any minutes on Saturday and could make his debut. The midfielder has spent the last three years playing professionally in Sweden and started his career at Crystal Palace.

The visitors are likely to shuffle their squad as well with newly-signed goalkeeper Sam Hignett set to feature. The Dover academy youngster started the season at Kennington but there are hopes he can now put pressure on Hythe’s no.1 Henry Newcombe.

Hythe’s player-boss James Rogers said: “We played there a few weeks ago and drew 3-3, they are a dangerous side going forward but so were we that day and I think it will be open. We need to try a few things out, the league is our bread and butter and as much as we want to progress in the cup, it gives us an opportunity to look at a few things as well.”

Gates are open at 6pm and kick-off is at 7.30pm.
