Margate boss Jay Saunders has boosted his defensive options by snapping up defender Daniel Johnson.
The 23-year-old spent last season at Dartford but drops down a level to link up with Saunders' squad.
Johnson was used in a variety of roles at Princes Park last season but mainly as a full-back, although it is believed Johnson would prefer to play in a centre-back role.
"I left Dartford and was approached by Jay and I was keen to come as I’ve known Jay for a long time," said Johnson, who has also played for Bromley.
"He’s coached me previously and I know he is a good manager so I am really pleased to join Margate.
"I feel comfortable playing out from the back, going long when needed and like to think of myself as a solid defender.
"We have a young squad so we will be energetic, hard-working and a really positive team which I’m excited about.”
