Isthmian League round-up: Cray Valley book Premier Division play-off spot, while newly-crowned South East champions Ramsgate beaten by Thanet rivals Margate in front of 3,300 sell-out at Southwood

Cray Valley secured an Isthmian Premier play-off place with an Easter Monday victory at Chatham.

The Millers won 1-0 at Maidstone Road thanks to Dan Bowry’s first-half strike and remain in contention for back-to-back promotions.

Dover’s play-off bid will be decided on the final day, however, after drawing 1-1 with Hastings at Crabble.

George Nikaj scored a second-half equaliser to keep fifth-placed Whites ahead of Chichester on goal difference.

The sides meet in Sussex this Saturday with Dover needing to avoid defeat.

Max Walsh and Louie Atkins opened up a 2-0 lead for the visitors before Josh Ajayi replied in first-half added time.

TT Walters made it 3-1 against his old club and Ben Allen added a late fourth after Rams had Olumide Oluwatimilehin and Tom Clifford sent off.

Rams, who clinched the title at Hythe on Good Friday, were presented with the trophy after the game.

A crowd of almost 1,000 saw second-placed Sittingbourne draw 0-0 at Swale rivals Sheppey.

Javaun Splatt’s eighth-minute penalty was swiftly cancelled out by Michael West but Ellis Brown and a second for Splatt put the Cannons in charge.

Louis Collins pulled one back and Gary Lockyer struck either side of half-time as Lloyd Hume’s went 4-3 up, and Collins completed the scoring on 88 minutes.
