Officers have seized around 50 cannabis plants from a property in a high street.

A large police presence was spotted outside Big Ben’s Antiques in the High Street, Staplehurst from Monday, March 17 until Wednesday, March 19.

The force said it carried out the warrant as part of an investigation into the production of cannabis.

A spokesperson said: “Further searches were carried at other locations in the village.

“A man and a woman were arrested as part of the investigation and have since been bailed pending further inquiries.”
