Carer from Hadlow, Tonbridge, stole and used bank card of someone in her care

A carer who used the bank card of someone she looked after to buy a laptop and pay her rent has avoided prison.

Michele Foulds, of Twyford Road, Hadlow, was trusted to safeguard a vulnerable man's money but instead used more than £900 for herself.

The victim was cared for by Pembury-based company Aspens.

The 45-year-old defendant was found guilty of fraud by abuse of position at Sevenoaks Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

The court delivered a 24-week sentence, suspended for two years.

Foulds was also ordered to pay more than £1,000 in fines and compensation.
