A driver has been rushed to hospital after an accident which left a road blocked in both directions.

Traffic could not get through the A26 Maidstone Road near Goose Green, Hadlow, after the incident involving one car at about 6.40am this morning.

Police and ambulance crews attended the scene between Stanford Lane and the A228 Seven Mile Lane, where the driver received medical attention before being taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

The vehicle has been recovered and the road is clear.
