Five arrested after stabbing in Angel Lane, Tonbridge

A 16-year-old boy and three men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing near a shopping centre.

Police and paramedics were called to Angel Lane, Tonbridge, on Saturday at around 6am following reports of a man being in his 20s being stabbed.

He was taken to a London hospital and detectives launched an investigation.

A 28-year-old man from Tonbridge was arrested on suspicion of assisting offenders before police made four further arrests yesterday.

A 20-year-old man from Folkestone and a 16-year-old boy from Dover were detained on suspicion of attempted murder when police attended Tram Road in Folkestone yesterday.

Those three have all been released pending further investigation while another two men, aged 24 and 33, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder during patrols in Road of Remembrance and Marine Terrace in Folkestone.

They are still in police custody while detectives continue their investigations.

Detective Inspector Jon Faulkner said: "While my officers have made a number of arrests, we are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information that will help the investigation."
