Man charged with drug offences in Tonbridge

A man has been charged after police seized a knife and drugs in Tonbridge.

Officers on patrol in Pembury Road became suspicious of a car at around 7.35pm on Monday, and followed it to the railway station car park.

There they stopped a passenger after he got out of the vehicle and, during a search, found a knife, cannabis and ketamine.

The man was arrested and taken in custody.

Finn Monaghan, of Westwood Road, East Peckham, was later charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and two counts of possessing class B drugs. The 18-year-old was bailed to appear before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on May 6.
