Man dies after Peugeot collides with telegraph pole on A227 Shipbourne Road

A 24-year-old man has died following a crash in Tonbridge in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called at 3.19am following reports of the accident on Shipbourne Road.

A black Peugeot collided with a telegraph pole. The driver, from Hildenborough, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed.

A 25-year-old man was taken to a London hospital and is in a critical condition.

A 24-year-old man from Tonbridge was also taken to a London hospital, with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit have been at the scene.

The road has now re-opened.
