Tonbridge mass vaccine centre opening delayed due to snow

The opening of the county's third large scale Covid-19 vaccination centre was delayed today due to the snow.

It was due to open for the first time in The Angel Centre leisure centre, in Angel Lane, Tonbridge this morning.

But the Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust, which is running the site, halted the opening due to the bad weather.

They say appointments will be rescheduled and the site is now expected to open tomorrow.

It follows the opening of similar sites in Folkestone and Gravesend.

Kent has been left under a blanket of snow, with more expected tomorrow and Wednesday.

It has left schools unable to open, cancelled trains and chaos on the roads.
