General Election 2019: Elvis Presley the latest celebrity to replace Tonbridge Tory candidate Tom Tugendhat's face

Pranksters have been at it again, replacing a Tory election candidate's face with a big name.

This time, Elvis Presley has stolen Tom Tugendhat's spot on a banner in Leybourne.

The campaign poster for the Tonbridge and Malling candidate, at the junction for Castle Way and Oxley Shaw Lane, has been subject to several pranks in the last few days as residents wake to find a new face on the board every day.

This morning sees the king of rock and roll plastered over him.

Throughout the week, Mr Tugendhat has been replaced by Elton John, Buzz Lightyear and Bruce Forsyth.

During the last election race in 2017, a trio of pranksters covered his face with Brian Blessed, Chris Kamara, Borat and more.

Speaking at the time, a spokesperson for the group responsible said: "We hope everyone has taken the prank for what it was, light-hearted fun.

"Rest assured that no criminal damage was actually caused, and all precautions were taken to avoid any potentially controversial characters."

It not clear whether this year's pranks are being carried out by the same group.
