A suspect has successfully escaped from police after a car chase through Hadlow yesterday evening.

Kent Police said that officers were alerted to a suspicious car near Tonbridge that was believed to be linked to the supply of drugs.

A pursuit followed and the driver abandoned his vehicle in the Quarry Hill Road area, making off on foot.

The area was searched to locate the suspect, but he currently remains at large.

The incident happened around 6.30pm.
