Police find 119 cocaine wraps in car in Tonbridge

A motorist stopped by the police in Tonbridge had more than 100 wraps of suspected cocaine in his car.

Officers from the Community Policing Team were on patrol in plain clothes yesterday early evening, when they saw a VW car in Cannon Lane they believed was being used in connection with the supply of drugs.

A search revealed 119 deals of a substance suspected to be cocaine inside a plastic bag. The officers also seized £1,840 in cash and two mobile phones.

A man in his 30s, from Paddock Wood, was arrested on suspicion of the possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.

He has since been released on bail pending further investigation.
