Teenage girl reports sexual assault in Tonbridge alleyway

Detectives are appealing for information after a teenage girl was allegedly sexually assaulted in an alleyway.

The victim entered the alleyway from Lodge Oak Lane in Tonbridge when the suspect is said to have approached her from behind before inappropriately touching her legs.

At around the same time an unknown woman also entered the alleyway.

The woman is reported to have run past the suspect and elbowed him, before she and the victim then both ran from the scene.

The incident is reported to have taken place at around 3.20pm on Thursday, June 28.

The suspect is described as being black, aged in his 20s and around 5ft 2ins tall.

His hair was shaved at the sides but curly on top and he also had deep wrinkles to his forehead and a chubby face.

He wore a black hooded top, beige knee length shorts and was carrying a black ‘Nike’ gym bag.

Kent Police has carried out a number of inquiries following the incident, including house to house checks and reviewing CCTV.

Anyone who may be able to assist with the investigation is also urged to come forward.

Detectives are particularly keen to speak to the woman reported to have intervened in the alleyway.
