Southern train drivers to strike in December and January

Train drivers are set to go on strike as new dates have been announced in December and January.

The latest industrial action on the Southern network is over the introduction of driver-only trains.

Members of Aslef have backed the walkouts by 87%, which is based on a 77% turnout.

The strike dates announced are for December 13 and 14, again on the 16th and between January 9 and 14.

Southern runs services around Ashford and Tonbridge in Kent.
