Woman assaulted between Shipbourne Road and Cheviot Close, Tonbridge, while walking home

A woman was assaulted while walking home from a railway station.

The victim was travelling between Shipbourne Road and Cheviot Close when she was approached on her way back from Tonbridge station.

It happened at about 8.30pm on Sunday.

Police have launched an appeal for information.

The suspect, a man, was white, between 30 and 40 years old, of medium build and was wearing a dark suit-type jacket with a lapel pin and dark trousers.

Officers are also keen to see dashcam footage from the area of the station, High Street, Shipbourne Road and the junction with Darenth Avenue between 8pm and 9.15pm.
