Woman killed on A26 Tonbridge Road, Hadlow, named as Sukh Mati Limbu

A woman killed in a head on collision has been named for the first time.

Sukh Mati Limbu, 82, was a passenger in a grey Toyota Auris travelling along the A26 Tonbridge Road near Hadlow, when it collided with a Vauxhall Astra travelling in the opposite direction.

The Tonbridge pensioner was pronounced dead at the scene and three more people were rushed to a London hospital with serious injuries.

Both drivers were seriously injured along with a second passenger in the Auris. All three remain in hospital.

The air ambulance was called out to the road between Cuckoo Lane and Ashes Lane after the crash on the afternoon of Sunday, July 21.

Three fire engines were called to help cut the casualties free following the head-on crash.

Police are continuing their enquiries.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Witnesses or anyone with information about the collision are urged to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538 quoting reference DB/DC/77/19. You can also email sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk.

"Officers would also like to hear from anyone with dashcam footage of the collision itself or of the vehicles involved."
