Tonbridge Angels’ match at Weston-super-Mare - abandoned after a medical emergency in the crowd - has been swiftly rearranged.
Angels, who were leading Saturday’s game 1-0 with six minutes plus stoppage time remaining, will make the long journey back to Somerset on Tuesday night (7.45pm).
Entry prices are reduced by 25% and gate receipts will be shared to help Tonbridge with costs for the 350-mile round trip.
Scott Wagstaff was on course to pick up his first win as Angels caretaker boss after a first-half wonder strike from Taylor Maloney.
But the National League South game was abandoned after a woman collapsed near the dugouts.
Medical staff from both clubs came to her aid before she was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The spectator, whose partner has thanked Tonbridge for their assistance, was “conscious and responsive in A&E” on Saturday evening and is continuing her recovery at home.
“Our best wishes go to her for a full recovery,” said Tonbridge on X.
There’s plenty at stake in the rearranged game as a Weston win would move them above Maidstone into the final play-off place with three games remaining.
Tonbridge will be back in the top 10 should they take the points and could climb as high as ninth.
