Tonbridge Angels keeper Jonny Henly signs new deal

Tonbridge have been given an early boost to their preparations for life in National League South.

Keeper Jonny Henly - an ever-present between the sticks during their promotion-winning season - has put pen to paper on a new deal at Longmead.

Henly has made 119 appearances for Tonbridge and produced big saves at crucial times in their super play-off win over Met Police last weekend.

Tonbridge boss Steve McKimm said: “I’m absolutely delighted that Jonny has agreed to stay with us for what is going to be an exciting season for the club in National South.

"We will need all of his experience to help us through the challenges ahead.”

Henly joined Tonbridge from Hemel Hempstead in August 2017 having also previously featured for Aldershot, Welling, Reading and Ipswich.

He kept 23 clean sheets for Tonbridge which rightly earned him a place in the KentOnline Team of the Year.
