Tonbridge Angels sign Ibrahim Olutade from Maidstone United

Tonbridge have signed striker Ibrahim Olutade from Maidstone - ending a long pursuit for manager Steve McKimm.

Angels landed the talented forward after his two-year deal at the Gallagher expired.

The 22-year-old found opportunities hard to come by at the Stones but was a prolific goalscorer with former club Leatherhead in the Isthmian Premier.

He scored twice in three appearance for Maidstone last season, including the winner in an FA Cup tie at Hendon.

Angels boss McKimm, who's previously tried to sign the player, finally has his man.

"I'm very pleased to have his signature," he told the Tonbridge website.

"Because of the problems of the last two seasons, due to the pandemic, he probably didn't get anything like the number of appearances his talent justified.

"I believe he has a point to prove and I think he can do that with us."
