Coxheath man charged after reports of man making threats with kitchen knife in Tunbridge Wells

Police investigating reports of a man making threats with a kitchen knife in a residential street have charged a suspect.

Officers were called to Dorking Road in Tunbridge Wells at around 7.30pm on Friday (April 11) after reports of an armed man threatening several people before leaving the scene.

At around 10.40pm a further disturbance was reported outside an address in Quarry Hill Road in Tonbridge.

Just before 1am on Saturday (April 12), a man was arrested near Vauxhall Lane.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment to injuries and later taken into custody.

Dale Pearson, of Saturn Road, Coxheath, was charged with affray, actual bodily harm, assaulting an emergency worker and threatening a person with a blade.

The 31-year-old was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on May 12.
