Bumble couple who wed in Las Vegas on first date to divorce after 6 months

The 'Bumble couple' who got married in Las Vegas on their first date have admitted they have split after just six months of marriage - but cannot get divorced until Christmas.

Sarah Elliot, 34, from Tunbridge Wells, and Paul Edwards, 36, walked down the aisle last December, just 10 days after matching on the dating app.

But after reportedly rowing for months - and her having a fling with two new toyboys - the couple have split.

It comes despite reports Paul even accompanied nanny Sarah to a swingers’ night in central London.

But marriage rules mean they can't get divorced until December - after a year of marriage has elapsed.

A source close to Paul said: "It's a blessing in disguise. They are a complete mismatch.

"But I suppose you could call it a learning curve. Paul is spending time focusing on himself.

"They're still man and wife as they have to be married for a year. They can't get a divorce until Christmas Eve."

Sarah and Paul met on dating app Bumble on December 15, exchanging messages for days before spontaneously agreeing to meet and get hitched.

They met for first time at Gatwick Airport on Christmas Eve, boarding the plane in full wedding gear and jetted off to Las Vegas.

The pair booked the Ballagio Hotel and Casino for their venue, dubbing their idea "crazy".

The pair celebrated their honeymoon by buying each other private lap dances at a strip club before Paul, a trainee electrician, moved into Sarah's home in east Sussex.

A week after husband Paul moved in, Sarah reportedly claims her husband started a row, accusing her of still being in love with her most recent ex.

Sarah also claims Paul also accused her of cheating after she sat beside her ex on a sofa during a game board night.

In February Paul stormed out of the marital home but later agreed to meet for a romantic dinner a month later to give things another go, it is reported.

A few days later Paul invited Sarah to a swingers’ night at club Le Boudoir in central London, but the evening was dominated by another row.

Paul, from Chichester, and Sarah have declined to comment.
