DIY weapons seized after search warrant executed at property in Holmewood Road, Tunbridge Wells

DIY weapons with knives and spikes attached with tape were seized by police during a drugs raid in Tunbridge Wells.

The improvised weapons were found along with cannabis plants when police executed a search warrant at a property in Holmewood Road.

Officers from the Tunbridge Wells community policing team entered the address at 6.30am on Tuesday. Quantities of cannabis were initially found in the kitchen, before 35 plants were discovered underneath the stairs.

The weapons seized included three wooden implements with knives and spikes taped to them.

Cash and several mobile phones were also confiscated, including one device alleged to have been thrown from a window of the property as police entered.

Two men, aged 29 and 59, were arrested on suspicion of the cultivation and supply of drugs. Both were later released pending further investigation.
