Emergency services in Cogate Road, Paddock Wood

Paramedics and fire crews are at the scene of an ongoing "incident" in Paddock Wood.

Witnesses say two fire engines, an ambulance and an ambulance car are currently in Cogate Road.

A fire service spokesman confirmed crews assisted the ambulance service in the street at around 17.25pm, but did not specify the nature of the incident.

Police do not appear to be involved.

However, officers confirmed they were dealing with another nearby incident in the town.

A spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 5.40pm to a report of a disturbance at a restaurant in Maidstone Road, Paddock Wood.

"Officers are currently at the scene.

"We believe it is a disturbance with a customer."
