Five men have been charged after police found an estimated £3 million of drugs being grown at a cannabis farm on an industrial estate.
The discovery came after patrols stopped a vehicle that was seen acting suspiciously in the High Brooms area of Tunbridge Wells on Friday (January 10).
Both occupants were arrested by members of the town’s Neighbourhood Task Force on suspicion of drug offences.
A search was then carried out at an empty commercial warehouse in Chapman Way, where around 3,500 cannabis plants were found with an estimated value of more than £3 million.
Three more suspects were arrested at the scene.
Novrus Ceta, 32, of Green Lane, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear and Bledar Sinani, 27, Tafani Shpetim, 45, Nikolla Meniku, 40, and Luan Demarku, 29 - all of no fixed address - were charged with being concerned in the production of cannabis.
They appeared in court yesterday (January 13) and were all remanded in custody.
Their next hearing is at Maidstone Crown Court on February 10.
