Four hospitalised and A21 closed after crash near Tunbridge Wells

The A21 was closed in both directions following a major crash near Tunbridge Wells.

At least four people have been taken to hospital following the accident between Lamberhurst and Pembury.

Emergency services attended at the scene of the crash, which involved at least two vehicles.

An ambulance spokesman said that six people were treated at the scene.

Four of those have been taken to hospital in Tunbridge Wells.

Details of their injuries are not known but they are not thought to be severe or life threatening.

After being closed for more than two hours, the road has reopened in both directions and traffic is beginning to flow freely.
