Coronavirus Kent: How to do a manicure at home

A trip to the salon may be a long-forgotten luxury many of us will be missing.

With social distancing measures in force for the foreseeable future, many of us are wondering how we can treat ourselves to a little pampering.

Cara Jeffery of True Beauty, Beauty and Aesthetics Clinic explains how to do an at-home manicure.

Cara Jeffery runs True Beauty, Beauty and Aesthetics Clinic in Southborough.

The closure of her clinic in London Road during the outbreak led her to set up an online shop so she can offer beauty products at home to sell to clients.

Her business, which she set up three years ago, usually offers treatments including advanced skincare, laser hair removal, manicures, pedicures, massage, facials, waxing and lash treatments.

Cara said: "I started an online shop literally overnight, I had someone build it for me and I am adding things to it daily including facial kits and things people can buy if they want a bit of pampering at home and I am sending them myself."

Cara is also hosting live videos on the clinic's Facebook page every Friday in which she will be collaborating with other businesses.

She has recorded a special video for KentOnline giving step-by-step instructions on how to give yourself an at-home manicure.
