Lorry crashes into bridge near Tunbridge Wells

A lorry was removed by recovery crews after crashing into a bridge near Tunbridge Wells.

Police were called at 5.56pm yesterday to reports of a crash on the A26 in Eridge Road involving a lorry.

Its trailer was too tall for the 14ft 6in height restriction of the railway bridge, not far from Tunbridge Wells railway station.

Officers attended and the lorry was removed at around 9pm.
