A MAN was treated for smoke inhalation after escaping from a fire which broke out in an attic earlier today.
The blaze occurred in a two storey private house in Upper Grosvenor Road, Tunbridge Wells. Two fire crews from Tunbridge Wells attended after the alarm was raised just after 9.40am.
The 25-year-old casualty was given first aid at the scene and later taken to the Kent and Sussex Hospital, Tunbridge Wells, by ambulance for further treatment.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus and a hose reel to deal with the fire, which was confined to a three metre by four metre attic space.
