Stabbing in Calverley Road, Tunbridge Wells, leaves man in hospital

A man is in hospital after a stabbing in Tunbridge Wells.

Police were called to Calverley Road at around 7pm on Wednesday, August 21, after a man in his 50s was stabbed.

He has been taken to a London hospital where his condition is described as serious but stable.

An investigation into the incident has been launched including forensic analysis of the crime scene and examination of CCTV in the area.

South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed it attended the scene and the patient was assessed and treated before being taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital.

Anyone who has information that may assist the investigation is asked to call Kent Police on 01622 604100, quoting crime reference 46/161644/19.
