Man dies after vintage tractor crash near Tunbridge Wells

A young driver has been arrested after a man was killed in a crash involving a vintage tractor.

The 55-year-old, who has not been named, died at the scene of the accident, which happened in Park Corner Lane in Groombridge, near Tunbridge Wells on Tuesday night.

He was travelling in the blue Fordson tractor driven by a 24-year-old man who was taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital for treatment.

The driver has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous or careless driving.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened, who may have dashcam footage, or who saw the tractor being driven in the area prior to the crash.
