Man attacked by group after crash in Tunbridge Wells

A man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after he was stabbed in an attack by a group following a car crash.

The victim suffered injuries "caused by a bladed instrument" following the collision in Forest Road, Tunbridge Wells.

Police were called at 6.12pm after the man was reportedly assaulted by several others who left the scene.

Pictures show the air ambulance in the sky near the incident although the victim was taken to hospital by land ambulance.

His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Witness Jody Lloyd, who lives in Forest Road, said the car was being chased by others, then two lost control and crashed, which led to the stabbing.

He said: "The rest jumped into a third car and sped off. It happened just at the junction of Camden Park."

Forest Road remains closed in both directions while police inquiries continue.
