TV presenter Nick Knowles, who began his career in Kent, has become the sixth campmate to leave I'm A Celebrity after being voted off.
The DIY SOS and Who Dares Wins presenter held back tears as he emotionally reunited with his son Charlie as he left the jungle.
A former pupil of the Skinners' School in Tunbridge Wells, he began his broadcasting career as a journalist at TVS and then Meridian, working from the studios in Vinters Park in Grove Green, now called the Maidstone Studios.
He was a regular at several Maidstone drinking holes and has previously told KentOnline he was “not backwards in coming forwards in going for a pint”.
The 56-year-old has returned to the county several times since, mainly on DIY SOS.
An episode filmed on Sheppey in 2016 saw his team build a bungalow from scratch to cater to three children with complex and life-limiting medical conditions.
It was the largest project ever undertaken by the programme and couple Kyle and Garry Ratcliffe and their four adopted children's new home in Brambledown was ready after nine days of hard work.
Speaking after his exit, he said: "I think the thing that surprised me is the tough bits you don't see day to day like lugging the wood, but when I came here I wanted to see if a whole bunch of people could get together and make friends.
"We're having such a touch time in the UK, if we could all get together it might be a big pointer for everybody at home."
During the series, he was stunned to discover his cover of Make You Feel Me Love made it to No.1 on the iTunes chart.
Former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp - who revealed he is compared to TV legend Mr Pastry by his wife - is favourite to win the show, ahead of actress Emily Atack.
