Man in hospital after row over parking space in Sainsbury’s Local in Tunbridge Wells

A man has been left with serious head injuries after an argument over a parking space at a shop.

Police were called to the Sainsbury’s Local in St John’s Road, Tunbridge Wells, at 7.22pm yesterday (Sunday).

It is alleged that a man punched the victim after what a force spokesman described as “a disagreement” about a space.

The injured man remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Later the same night, officers arrested a 32-year-old man from Sidcup.

He remains in custody while inquiries continue.
