Tunbridge Wells man accused of burglary and fraud after caravan break-in

A suspected burglar has been remanded in custody after a break-in at a caravan.

The door of the mobile home in Powder Mill Lane, Tunbridge Wells, was reportedly forced open on Wednesday before cash and a wallet were taken.

It is alleged that later that day a bank card from the wallet was declined in an attempted purchase at a newsagents in High Brooms.

On Monday police arrested Andrew Tomlin, of Nursery Road, Tunbridge Wells, and he was later charged with burglary and fraud.

The 33-year-old was remanded by Medway Magistrates’ Court and is due to appear again at Maidstone Crown Court on June 16.
