Two charged in Tunbridge Wells murder investigation

Two people have been charged with murder after a man was killed in Tunbridge Wells.

The 25-year-old victim was found fatally injured inside a property in Caley Road, at around 3.15am on Saturday.

Yesterday, Ciaran Stewart, 18, from Curtis Road, Hornchurch, East London, and a 17-year-old youth from Ilford, who can't be named for legal reasons, were charged with murder.

They have additionally been charged with conspiring to commit robbery and both have been remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates' Court today.

The police investigation has also led to the arrest of another four men on suspicion of murder. Three of these are from Essex and are aged 18, 25 and 28. They remain in custody as inquiries continue.

The fourth man is 41and from Hertfordshire. He has been released on bail until Tuesday, December 28.

A 33-year-old woman from Essex who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been bailed until Wednesday, December 29.

Investigators are still appealling for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.

They are particularly keen to see any CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage that may help.
