Six-wicket win for county's under-10s cricketers

KENT'S under-10s cricketers defeated Hampshire by six wickets in their latest match, at the Nevill Ground at Tunbridge Wells.

Electing to bat, Hampshire were struggling when opening bowler Charlie Munton (Tonbridge) took three for five off his four overs.

Kent captain Jago Pearson (Street End, Canterbury) with three for 11, and fellow spinner Freddie Vandenberg (Eltham College) then removed the middle order and Hampshire were bowled out for 104 in the 39th over.

Kent reached their target in the 24th over for the loss of four wickets, with a hard-hitting maiden county 50 by Macknade's Jonathon Amos.

His 56 included 13 fours. Kent have how won four successive games since losing to Surrey in their opening match.
