Police appeal after fatal tanker and cyclist crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist died in a crash with a tanker.

A man aged in his 60s from Southborough was pronounced dead at the scene following the incident.

His next of kin have been informed.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses to the collision near Penshurst.

The crash happened shortly before 6.30pm yesterday on the B2176 Penshurst Road between Bidborough and Penshurst.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the tanker or the cyclist immediately before or during the collision, or who have dashcam footage to get in contact.
