Firefighters have put out a fire at a fish and chip shop.

Two fire engines arrived at The Paddock in Maidstone Road, Paddock Wood,at around 10.15am today.

The crew has been at the back of the shop, where smoke was seen billowing.

They used a misting hose to extinguish the flames which had erupted in a section of trunking and preventing them from spreading to the main part of the building.

Fortunately, no-one was injured and crews left the scene shortly after 11.30am.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
