A Kent garden centre has been named the best in the UK.
Millbrook’s Staplehurst site in Station Road saw off 200 other centres nationwide to pick up the award.
The garden centre won the Local Garden Centre of the Year award, as well as picking up the Best Garden Products Retailer during a ceremony in Reading.
Speaking about the win, managing director Tammy Woodhouse said: “I’m really proud and delighted that we've won this award.
“We are the first recipients in this new category that recognises smaller garden centres.
“It's an amazing achievement for our team to be seen among the best in the UK. they have worked so hard for this, reaching and maintaining a really high standard at our stores."
The awards were held by the Garden Centre Association (GCA).
Chief executive Peter Burks added: “We had a wonderful evening crowning our overall champion of champions and our ‘Garden Centres of Excellence’ winners.
“They have all been recognised for their amazing dedication to delivering the very best within our industry and they couldn’t be more deserving of these fabulous awards."
Last year Millbrook in Gravesend came eight in the UK’s top 10 sites and won the Paul Cooling Environment & Sustainability Award for their commitment to planet-friendly gardening.
Millbrook plant team member Dan Furley also made it to the final of the GCA 2025 rising stars programme with his plant a fruit tree campaign.
Dan was one of four finalists invited to present at this year’s conference ahead of a vote for the overall winner.
