The promotional event is part of the store's £1,500,000 refurbishment grand sale, which is open to the public from 10am on Friday, September 27.

Hundreds of customers with loyalty cards are filling the town’s pavements with early access to the sale.

However, the invite-only sale preview, which started today, has prompted long lines down the high street.

On Facebook, people in Paddock Wood warned those visiting the town to allow plenty of extra time to find parking, with some saying car parks were very full.

One customer, Tara Clucas, said: “It’s felt like a lovely atmosphere today and I chatted to people in the queue, and everyone seemed in good spirits.

“I would say only go for what you want and need – it’s very busy!”

Over the weekend, a tattoo parlour in Canterbury also attracted a large queue after it started a £20 flash sale.

More than 300 people were seen lining the streets outside Drawn and Quartered tattoo and piercing shop.

Barsleys has been contacted for a comment.
